All over the world, birds of prey are revered and respected. Raptors have the power to grasp our spirit and take it into the wild. Raptor’s Reach was formed to share that experience, for people to see that “the wild” is not just some far off place, but also our own backyards. We lead educational programs about the “why?” of conservation, educating people of all ages about how their lives are impacted everyday by animals, and vice versa. We discuss animal safety and identification, animal husbandry, hunting, falconry and more, using biofacts and featuring our animals! Our trained raptors and other animals are also available for select photo shoots, weddings and other events or projects. Get in touch to see how we can get involved!
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
We have a number of programs for all ages. Each one focuses on a unique aspect of our relationship with other animals. We can teach in a class room or go for a hawk walk. Have something specific in mind? We're happy to work with you to design a custom program! Our current programs include:
Suburban Jungle: Your backyard ecosystem
American Falconry: An ancient art in the New World
RAPTORS FOR HIRE
Need a hawk for your next shoot? Are you and your partner looking to wow wedding guests with a raptor ring bearer? Our birds and trainers are available to help your next event or project take off! Our birds are acclimated to a wide range of circumstances. Weddings, photo shoots, fairs, films and more.
BIRD AND
VARMINT CONTROL
Just like the predatory birds we're named after, we tackle nuisance birds, tree squirrels, and ground dwelling pests like skunks and groundhogs. We prioritize eviction and exclusion methods but we will trap and remove animals when required. We also provide live and dead animal removal on a limited basis.
Meet the Team:
Scott
Scott is the main falconer at Raptor's Reach. He was captivated by birds of prey at an early age and began working with them as a junior volunteer at the World Bird Sanctuary in 2005. He became a became a licensed falconer in 2012 and has been flying birds since. Scott started an early career in nuisance wildlife control in 2017 where he saw a need to educate the public young and old about their relationship with wildlife. Raptor's Reach was the answer of that need.

Hattie
Hattie is the livestock and herpetology specialist for Raptor's Reach. She has worked as a rancher since 2021, raising and maintaining livestock. She got her start raising reptiles of all kinds from as young as 9 years old. Hattie wants everyone to know just how necessary working animals still are to our modern way of life. She believes that sharing these connections can open you up to a more meaningful understanding of the world.
